Job Description
As a Product Line Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic direction of a product portfolio. This includes overseeing the full lifecycle of products—from concept to phase-out—while ensuring alignment with business goals, market needs, and revenue targets. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to drive innovation, optimize costs, and deliver high-impact product launches.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Line Management
- Define and implement product line strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Own the product roadmap, balancing market demand with business priorities.
- Ensure revenue targets are met across the product portfolio.
End-to-End Product Lifecycle Oversight
- Manage products from ideation through development, launch, and retirement.
- Establish clear product vision, mission, and value proposition.
New Product Development (NPD)
- Lead NPD initiatives including business case creation, stakeholder validation, and launch execution.
- Track opportunity value and attributed revenue until product release.
Sales Enablement & Focus Product Promotion
- Drive at least 15% of product line revenue through focus products.
- Conduct a minimum of 15 technical presentations annually for sales and PM teams, maintaining an average assessment score of 80%.
Cost Optimization & Value Engineering
- Monitor product costs to prevent margin erosion.
- Identify candidates for value engineering using margin reports and competitive analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Facilitate alignment between sales, product management, and engineering teams.
- Address technical issues, pipeline projects, and strategy deployment through regular CFT reviews.
Performance Monitoring
- Track KPIs such as ASP, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Use data insights to refine product strategies and identify improvement areas
